Projects of ObliNet
ObliNet explores how to help independent individuals and organizations coordinate their actions, make mutual commitments, account for their interdependencies, and verify that agreements are fulfilled.
This challenge takes different forms across projects: pooling resources, coordinating work, assigning roles, verifying how funds are used, or improving the way cooperation is organized.
Working demonstration tool
Neighbours want to order goods together. Before collecting money, they compare the total order volume, delivery, and the organiser’s contribution: under what conditions does participation make sense for each person?
What we study: How to agree on the purchase volume, participants’ contributions, and the conditions under which pooling resources makes sense for everyone.

A mechanic helps a farmer, the farmer helps a computer specialist, and the specialist helps the mechanic. AI may help find such a chain even when a direct exchange between two participants is not possible.
What we study: how to find and coordinate chains of barter and mutual commitments using AI and ObliNet, taking all costs and legal requirements into account.

In a model group at a matnas (a community cultural and recreation centre in Israel), participants explain a chosen topic to one another, then change partners and roles. People of different ages may learn in the same pair; the next round helps check what they have understood and managed to explain.
What we study: How to coordinate roles and changes of partners so that participants can check what they have understood and managed to explain.
